Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and a pinch of salt until smooth.

Stir in the pecans, then pour the mixture evenly into the prepared dish.

Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top.

Gently press the cake mix down so it absorbs some of the filling—do not stir.

Bake for 45–50 minutes, until golden on top and set but still gooey in the center.

Let cool slightly before serving.
