Golden Pumpkin Balls
Ingredients:
– 1 cup steamed pumpkin (200g)
– 1 2/3 cups glutinous rice flour (200g)
– 2 tbsp sugar (25g)
– A pinch of salt
– White sesame seeds
Steps:
1. Peel, slice, steam, and mash the pumpkin. Mix in the sugar and salt.
2. Add glutinous rice flour to the pumpkin mixture and stir until combined. Knead into a smooth dough.
3. Roll into 1 oz (30g) balls and coat with sesame seeds.
4. Heat oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Fry the balls until they float, then increase the heat to medium or medium-high and fry until golden brown. Press and rotate the balls with a ladle to release air.
