Funnel Cake Bites – Crispy, Sweet & Perfectly Mini!
Golden, bite-sized funnel cakes that are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and dusted with powdered sugar—just like your favorite fair treat!
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
1 large egg
¾ cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Oil, for frying
Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
Mix dry ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Add wet ingredients
Add the egg, milk, and vanilla extract. Whisk until you get a smooth, thick batter (similar to pancake batter).
Heat the oil
Heat about 2–3 inches of oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
Fry the bites
Using a spoon or small scoop, carefully drop small portions of batter into the hot oil.
Fry for 1–2 minutes per side, until golden brown.
Drain & dust
Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels. While warm, generously dust with powdered sugar.
Serving Ideas
Serve warm with chocolate sauce, caramel, or strawberry sauce
