Ingredients

1 medium head of cabbage

1 lb ground beef (or beef/pork mix)

1/2 cup uncooked rice

1 onion (finely chopped)

2 cloves garlic (minced)

1 egg

1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce (or crushed tomatoes)

2 tbsp tomato paste

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp dried dill (or fresh)

Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

Prep cabbage: Bring a large pot of water to boil. Carefully remove cabbage leaves and blanch until pliable.

Make filling: Mix ground meat, rice, onion, garlic, egg, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.

Assemble rolls: Place a spoonful of filling in each cabbage leaf, fold sides, and roll tightly.

Cook in sauce: Arrange rolls in a baking dish. Mix tomato sauce, paste, olive oil, dill, salt, and pepper. Pour over rolls. Cover with foil and bake at 375Β°F (190Β°C) for 1 hour until tender
